Framing Coins and Bank Notes
…even Maundy money
On Thursday the Queen visited Leicester Cathedral to distribute Maundy money. Leicester was the last cathedral in the UK to receive the Queen for this service.
The happy recipients of the Maundy money could spend the special coins, as they are legal tender. But it is much more likely that they will save them to pass onto their children / grandchildren as a keepsake.
One of the best ways of keeping and displaying a small number of coins (or bank notes) is to get them framed. Gadsby’s have, over the years, framed all sorts of coins (with the exception so far of Maundy money) and notes.
If you have some coins or notes which you would like to preserve and display then bring them into Gadsby’s in Leicester.
