Regilding a picture frame

Sometimes the frame of a picture carries as much sentimental value as the oil painting it holds. So, while we are sometimes asked to re-frame cleaned and restored paintings, we are also happy to repair and regild picture frames – such as this one.

These pictures show the difference between before and after the regilding of the frame and the cleaning of the oil painting itself.

Talk to the experts at Gadsby’s to find out what can be achieved with your paintings and or frame. If you can’t show the actual piece please provide some photographs to enable the restoration team to review what needs doing and what the end result might be like.
