Restoring a plaster figure

This plaster figure was brought in broken, tatty and badly worn.

We have filled it, glued it and re-painted it so it looks almost as good as new.

It is worth noting that sometimes our clients ask us to not do so much to their ornament that it looks like new. They want to remember that often it is very old and has had a tough life. But they want it to be whole and undamaged in any serious way.

The following pictures show the piece during the process of restoration.

The finished, restored figure

The pictures below show the restored piece from various angles. Another great job by the Gadsby’s restoration team.

If you have items of value to you which would benefit from some tender loving care then call Gadsby’s to discuss whether we can help to restore your artefact to its former glory.
