An antique plaster elephant was brought in for restoration.
Standing around 15″ high (when restored), the elephant had been broken into roughly 20 pieces. The largest piece still had some crumpled up newspaper stuffed inside. We were tempted to see if we could date the piece based on the paper but elected not to.
With this project we were slightly hampered because some of the pieces had been lost. So, having completed the jigsaw as best we could we then had to fill in the gaps.
If you have a broken ornament that you would like restored please contact the Gadsby’s team to discuss it. Best is to bring it into the shop so that we can see the real state of affairs.
